200 Internally Displaced Children (War between Nigerian Military Forces & Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in Onitsha Anambra State.
• Assistance and protection (connecting 50 of the more than
30,000 IDP children to private homes)
• Advocacy for the displaced child’s right to education (payment
of tuition fees and distributions of books, and writing materials)
• Grassroots preparations for the social reintegration and
rehabilitation
• Organized fund raising for building a peace primary &
secondary school for both IDP, street and driven out of home
children (on going).
• After School Program for young boys and girls including IDP
children in critical and creative thinking, age bracket 14-20
years; two hours three times a week from 1997 to date.
• Workshops & seminars on peacemaking, culture and tradition,
peace education, conflict management and transformation
methods, once a month.
