EU is offering funding for Competition on the theme ‘Energy Efficient Buildings as the Basis for Sustainable Energy Development’. The goal of this program is to make initiative on highlighting energy efficiency and energy saving in buildings, application of energy efficient technologies and innovative approaches for raising energy efficiency in buildings in Georgia.
Objective-
- To stimulate creative initiatives of journalists on highlighting energy efficiency and energy saving in buildings, application of energy efficient technologies and innovative approaches for raising energy efficiency in buildings in Georgia
- To animate print periodicals and electronic media of these countries in order to inform the population about implementation of energy saving activities and application of innovative techniques
- To update the problems of energy efficiency, implementation of energy efficient technologies in buildings and look for their solutions
- To encourage an increasing competition among the participants of the mass media market
- To identify and support promising journalists highlighting the topic of energy efficiency, energy efficient technologies and energy saving, to assist in expanding professional excellence of journalists and students of journalism departments
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Journalists and string correspondents of all mass media are eligible to participate in the competition. In order to take part in the competition participants shall submit one article published in press or Internet resource within the period from 01 March to 30 April 2013. Advertising materials shall not be considered.
- The publications where the issues of energy efficiency in buildings, saving of resources and public awareness campaigns are discussed in the most comprehensive, bright and professional manner will win.
- Publications of competition participants should be in one of the languages: national (Georgian), Russian or English.
- Journalists willing to participate in the contest shall provide the following materials before 30 April 2013 inclusive-
- application for participation sent by e-mail (in free format) with contact data
- copies of published materials (scanned) or references to Internet resources
