The Global Fund for Women has been announced to advance the human rights of women and girls. Funding of ranging from $500 to $30,000 for operating and program expenses will be offered. The goal of this program is to providing support to women’s groups throughout the world in a fair and just way.
Global Fund for Women has refreshed its grantmaking model to ensure greater clarity and transparency in relation to its vision, approach and regional grantmaking priorities. These priorities are intended to align with women’s human rights trends and needs and to ensure that the grant making informs other programmatic initiatives and advocacy. The Global Fund for Women accepts proposals in any language. Currently, the online application supports English, Spanish, French, and Russian.
Eligibility & Criteria-
Please note that group MUST meet all the following criteria to be eligible for a grant-
- It is based in a country outside the United States. They do not fund US based organizations.
- Its primary focus is advancing women’s equality and human rights, with these goals clearly reflected in its activities.
- It is a group of women working together. They do not accept requests from individuals.
- It is governed, directed, and led by women. Women must fill all or most of the leadership roles.
