The European Investment Bank (EIB) Institute is calling proposals for its fourth edition of its Social Innovation Tournament. The program promotes the innovative ideas and rewards initiatives that fight against social exclusion. It covers projects in a wide range of fields – from education, health care and the natural or urban environments, to new technologies, new systems and new processes.
Categories of Prizes
- 1st Prize – EUR 25,000
- 2nd Prize – EUR 10,000
Projects addressing the topic of equal opportunities with a special emphasis on people with disabilities will also compete for the Special Category Prize of EUR 25 000. Further awards include vouchers entitling a number of projects and their teams to benefit from subsequent coaching/mentoring services.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals or teams from (or residing in) the European Union Member States, Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries or the EFTA countries are eligible to submit proposals to be implemented in one or more of these countries.
The tournament is open to not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, young entrepreneurs and social enterprises, corporate responsibility departments of private sector companies of any size, NGOs, government or local government entities and university communities.
