IDB Civil Society for Innovative Solutions Program

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)’s “Civil Society for Innovative Solutions” program of the Vice Presidency for Countries (VPC); in partnership with the IDB Group’s Multilateral Investment Fund and the NEXSO platform, invite civil society organizations to present innovative solutions for that will reduce the number of people without legal identity and provide them access to services and fundamental rights.
Awards
The three winning organizations will receive support from the IDB’s Vice Presidency for Countries to present their solution to an audience of specialists during the IDB-Civil Society Regional Forum by the end of 2015. The winners will also enjoy visibility and promotion from the organizers and the NEXSO platform.
The cost of participation for one representative from each of the winning organizations, including airfare and accommodations, will be covered, so they can present their innovative solutions at the IDB Group Civil Society Regional Forum that will be held in Honduras by the end of 2015.
Eligible member countries of the IDB group – Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China People’s Republic of, Colombia Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea Republic of, Portugal, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Slovenia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela.
Other Eligibility Information
- Eligible applicants include: associations, academia, not-for profit professional and corporate social responsibility groups, non-governmental and not-for profit organizations, youth and student groups, trade unions, foundations, faith-based institutions, youth groups, organizations for indigenous and/or Afro-descendant people, and formal and informal organizations that belong to and/or represent interests based on community, philanthropic, ethical, cultural, ethnic, religious, or scientific perspectives and considerations.
- Those organizations eligible to apply must belong to the Civil Society of one or more of themember countries of the IDB Group and its projects must respond with innovative solutions to the challenges that will be proposed.
- The solutions have to be applied in Latin America and the Caribbean.
