Applicants are invited to apply for Hearst Journalism Fellowship with an aim to recruit, train and retain the best of the next generation of journalists, top-notch multi-media professionals with a broad range of skills.
Hearst Fellowship identifies and develop high-caliber multimedia professionals from a diverse pool of the country’s best reporters, copy editors, photographers, designers and graphic artists.
The program consists of two 12-month rotations at top metro papers and websites. Fellows are full-fledged journalists expected to make significant, valuable contributions in a variety of roles and platforms.

Eligibility Criteria
- Canadians and other foreign nationals are eligible to apply.
- Anyone who has completed coursework and obtained a college degree by August 1 following the application deadline is eligible.
- Early-career journalists who have something to offer Hearst and would benefit from the program are welcome to apply.
- Applicants with multimedia skills, broadcast journalists may apply.
- Candidates should be college graduates with interest, experience or background in journalism or related fields.
