Deadline: 14 February 2016
Humanity in Action is seeking applications for its 2016 fellowship program in Europe from university students and young professionals to take part in one of the four international Humanity in Action Fellowship programs in Berlin, Copenhagen, Warsaw or Atlanta/USA in the early summer of 2016.
Humanity in Action is an international educational organization to educate, inspire and connect a global network of students, young professionals and established leaders committed to promoting human rights, diversity and active citizenship—in their own communities and around the world and develops international educational programs for university students and young professionals with the objective to promote a dialogue about understanding and responding to the challenges that democratic countries face as they become more diverse societies. Their programs explore past and present examples of resistance to intolerance, with a goal of encouraging future leaders to be engaged citizens and responsible decision makers.
Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of Fellows to study minority rights and produce original research exploring how and why individuals and societies, past and present, have resisted intolerance and protected democratic values.
The objective of the Humanity in Action Fellowship programs is to facilitate a collective exploration of the social and political roots of discrimination, as well as to provide a forum where potential solutions to some of today’s most challenging human rights issues can be considered and discussed. The programs are also intended to instill a responsibility among Humanity in Action Fellows to recognize and address the need to protect minorities and promote human rights – in their own communities and around the world.
The Fellowship programs seek to educate, connect and inspire future leaders in the fields of human rights and social justice.
