Save the Children is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Health and Nutrition Advisor in Bangui, Central African Republic. The duration for the post is of 6 months.
The Health and Nutrition Advisor Health technically manages the health / Nutrition programme of Save the Children in CAR, under the supervision of the Director of Program Development and Quality.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Health and Nutrition Advisor will perform the following functions-
- Overseeing the evaluations, updating and implementation of sectoral strategy for health and nutrition, technical supervision of the programme and staff, developing proposals, and reports writing.
- Representation of Save the Children at the national level for high-level coordination with government and other partners, including advocacy for universal access to health care and health system strengthening.
- As health and nutrition intervention is integrated into a multi-sectoral approach with HIV, protection, and education.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Medical Doctor with strong skills in Public Health.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in health programme management during humanitarian crises.
- Field experience with International NGO is essential.
- Proven experience in project proposal writing.
- Good knowledge of donor procedures (DFID, DFATD, OFDA, ECHO, UN Agencies, etc.).
- Good knowledge of HIV/AIDS programme management in emergency settings.
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of health projects.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proven experience in monitoring, coaching and training Experience in collaboration with Health Cluster.
- Good team worker.
- Fluency in French and English (speaking and writing).
- Proven skills in medicine and surgery.
- Previous experience resalable as Country Health Advisor with an International NGO.
- Previous experience with Save the Children.
