Positive Living Society (PLS) is a Community Based, Secular, Non-Profit Making Voluntary Organization. which was established by a group of social activists and persons related to same community (HIV Positive People) for welfare of People who living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs) on 1st December 2007 and formally registered on may 1st 2008. PLS undertakes development activities to give a positive effect to the marginalized section of the society. Initially the Organization was started with the motive of PLWHA’s rights, care and support. And its long term objectives on the integrated development of the deprived sections of the society. Since the inception of the Society was mostly involved with the Protection of People who living with HIV/AIDS and Promotion of PLWHA’s Rights and also apart from implementing activities related to PLWHA’s development. Other activities implemented were related to strengthening of families & community to help PLWHAs for better health & life. The fundamental principle guiding the work of PLS is the centrality of PLWHA in decision-making processes that affect their lives. Women have significant representation in the network and they take part in the decision making of the organization.

Legal Status-
Organization is registered under Section 21 of Societies Registration Act 1860, on may 1st 2008.

Vision-
To establish a society that is free from exploitation, has motive of self governance, is self-sufficient, and is enriched educationally, socially, culturally and environmentally, and which creates inspiration for the next generation.

Mission-
To Improve the quality of life of People living with HIV and AIDS in Uttar Pradesh. To bring enlightenment out of gloom, dynamic and swift social change through awareness among the Positive people and the community.
Objectives
• Protection and Advocacy for the rights of PLWHA and CLWHA.
• Facilitate and improve access to treatment for PLWHA.
• Networking and Capacity building of PLWHA.
• To Work for Positive Women’s Empowerment and their Rights.
• To provide access to information to People living with HIV/AIDS.
• To promote social acceptance of People living with HIV to end
Stigma and Discrimination by positive speakers.
• To Seek Social Justice and Equality for Deprived Community.
PLS has no any fund/ Project. PLS working with self contribution.
