Applications are invited by World Vision International from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Commodities and Logistics Manager . Location of this job will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe. Type of post is Accompanied-Family.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required
- A degree in Economics, Procurement and Supply , Development, Social sciences
- A Masters degree will be an added advantage
- A minimum of five years of experience managing USG food aid commodities, including commodities tracking systems, logistics management in the developing world, and specific experience managing the monetization process for a USG food aid programme are required
- Strong working knowledge of food aid legislation and regulations is required. Ideal candidates would have experience with USAID Title II or USDA programmes.
Preferred
- Demonstrated diplomacy, leadership, planning and organizational skills strong task management skills including attention to detail and strong English language written and verbal presentation skills are required.
- Exceptional computer literacy is required (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Windows and Email).
- Thorough knowledge of the WV Commodities Tracking System would be an asset.
- Prefer candidate with experience in training and/or knowledge transfer.
