Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC) with the support from University Grants Commission (U.G.C), India and in collaboration with COL/CEMCA, South Asian University and MTU Noida, U.P. is organizing an International convention on 24th & 25th February, 2012 in New Delhi.
In this context, educationists and other experts working in India and abroad are invited to submit papers for attending the convention where they will get an opportunity to discuss about various aspects of the use of ICT for better access, quality and equity of higher education using all probable means of ICT.
Objectives of Convention
- To bring the academics, broadcasting, content developer as well as the in-house and other media expert at a common platform to discuss various aspects of development, sharing and dissemination of e-learning resources.
- To deliberate on convergence in video and multimedia technology.
- The quality aspects of content and their sharing in the SAARC countries, other international organizations.
- Best practice in the use of ICT towards its reach , quality with the reasonable cost while creating and disseminating the knowledge-ware.

Eligibility
The convention is for:
- Academics working in universities and colleges, broadcasting, content developers and other institutions in India and SAARC & other countries abroad
- Staff members of the media centers of UGC / CEC
- Researchers working in India and SAARC & other countries abroad.
- Professionals working in various private organizations in development and dissemination of e-learning resources.
- A large number of participants from India and abroad are likely to participate in the convention, and efforts are being made to bring in some experts from corporate houses, industry and other areas.
Plenary Lectures
In all, total 8 sessions will be held including inauguration and valedictory sessions. Experts and eminent personalities from India and abroad shall deliver their Plenary Lectures on virtual education, related issues, challenges and prospects and interact with the delegates to identify and formulate the strategies, as per the objectives of the convention, on virtual education. After the convention, proceedings of the convention will be brought out in printed form which will be circulated to all the participants.
