The Ashoka U Exchange has come up with a network of leaders for social innovation in higher education. These leaders are committed to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers who will be well equipped to leverage their talents and skills to help solve the most pressing challenges of our time. The Ashoka U Exchange 60 Day Contest is a two part online promotion. It will involve both judging and voting by the public to determine the Contest winners.
To participate in the Contest, Participants must submit ideas, concepts, images, designs, and/or other materials and information. Submit a written description with an image or YouTube video. Individual or group submissions are welcome.
Stories of impact will be considered by:
- sharing what initial steps you have already taken in 60 days and
- sharing what your plan is to take impact even further.
Eligibility:
- The Contest is open 2012 Exchange Participants who are residents of the United States, excluding Puerto Rico.
- The contestant should be 18 or above
Applications Must:
- be in English
- be submitted by a 2012 Ashoka U Exchange participant
- describe the impact of a project implemented within 60 days of the 2012 Exchange and the plan to continue and further the project’s impact
Rules & Regulations
- This challenge is open for submissions from February 11th to April 11th, 2012. Submissions sent outside of this time frame will not be approved.
- ONLY 2012 Exchange participants are allowed to submit their stories of impact.
- Submitted stories should include a photo or a link to a YouTube video (no longer than 5 minutes).
- Your story will be featured on this page and public voting will be open from April 12th to April 19th.
- The story with the most votes will get 1 ticket to the Exchange 2013.
- Ashoka U will also give 2 more tickets to entries with the most potential for impact.
- For these two awards (beyond the people’s choice), Ashoka U will take into account innovation, impact, and likelihood of follow through in selecting the winners.
- There is no cash prize. $1,500 is the total value of the three tickets.
- Ashoka U reserves the right to remove or withhold posting stories that are offensive, inappropriate, or in
- opposition to the values of the Ashoka U community .
