Applications are invited from mid-level Armenian professionals for the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in the United States for the 2012 2013 academic year.
This fellowship opportunity is for the mid-career professionals who are committed to public service, and are in leadership positions and having careers at a point where they can fully benefit from an independent study at a leading U.S. university. The selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or private sector.
It is not a degree program. However, the fellows will be awarded a certificate from the U.S. Government. During the one year fellowship, the scholars get opportunities for developing their professional outlook through selected university courses, attending conferences, networking, and practical work experiences.
Eligibility
The fellowship is open to Armenian citizens and residents having at least a Bachelor’s degree. The candidates must have hive years of substantial professional experience and should be interested in the policy aspects of their fields of specialization. They must also demonstrate leadership qualities and a record of public service. Fluency in English is a must. Moreover, the candidates must be eligible for a J1 visa (2 year restriction to home country residency after the program end)
