Counterpart International in Armenia has issued a request for proposals for the Human Rights Small Grants HRSG). NGOs, foundations and union of legal entities registered and operating in the country can apply for this opportunity. The goal of this program is to support Armenian civil society organizations in conducting projects aimed at protecting and promoting human rights.
Grant projects include but are not limited to the:
- monitoring of human rights situation and/or of policy implementation,
- comparative legal analysis of current human rights related legislation,
- human rights advocacy,
- awareness raising initiatives on selected human rights and/or human rights education,
- capacity building of rights-holders and/or duty-bearers,
- legal assistance to individuals who seek for redress of their rights violated by state bodies etc.
HRSG is part of the USAID-funded Civil Society and Local Government Support Program (CSLGSP) which aims to increase the level of informed and organized civic activism at the local and national levels, along with more participatory, decentralized, efficient and accountable local governance that leads to a more democratic society.
