Participants from around the world are invited to submit applications for International Ashden Award. The Ashden Awards bring to light ground-breaking green energy champions in the UK and developing world and inspire others to follow. Winners will have the opportunity to win prize of up to £40,000.
Prize-
One Gold Award will have a prize fund of £40,000 and the others will win prize funds of £20,000 each.

- Increasing energy access for homes or businesses
- Improving energy efficiency in houses and other buildings
- Helping avoid deforestation in tropical forest areas
- Innovative financial mechanisms for sustainable energy products and services
- Bringing sustainable energy access in rehabilitation or reconstruction programmes
- Using renewable energy or energy efficiency for agricultural purposes
- Using renewable energy to provide water for drinking or domestic use

Eligibility & Criteria-
- Businesses, NGOs, social enterprises and government organisations are all eligible.
- The application can be for a specific renewable energy or energy efficiency programme or enterprise or for a specific product or service. This may be the whole work of an organisation or part of it.
- The work must be proven on the market and have been delivered for at least one year.
- The work must be delivered in areas that do not have developed world standards of living. These can be in rural or urban areas, including in small island developing states, in Africa, Central and South America or Asia.
