Deadline-February 28, 2013
Center for Economic Research & Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI) is inviting applicants to pursue PhD Scholarships in Economics.
The program leads to an MA degree awarded under an absolute charter granted by the State of New York, USA, and to a PhD degree which has an absolute charter granted by the State of New York, USA, and is fully accredited in the Czech Republic under the Charles University in Prague. Under normal circumstances, PhD Graduates receive both American and Czech doctoral degrees, while MA graduates receive only an American degree. Nearly all students are awarded full tuition scholarships for the entire duration of their MA/PhD program. Students also typically receive financial support toward living costs based on their previous education (degree level) and qualifications. Masters degree holders are usually given full financial support. For students with a Bachelors degree, financial support is determined on an individual basis.
A unique feature of the CERGE-EI PhD in Economics program is its support for mobility which allows many students to conduct part of their dissertation research working with experts in their field at leading universities in Western Europe and North America.
