The Ministry of Education is pleased to invite applications for Singapore-MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Alliance (SMA3) Graduate Fellowship Program. The objective of this program is to attract the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond and educate them to be future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond.
Fellowship offers-
- up to four years of full tuition fees at the student’s home university
- a monthly stipend of S$3,200
- a scholarly allowance of up to S$12,000 to help cover the expenses associated with a six month research residency at MIT
- and co-supervision by an MIT and NTU/NUS faculty
Benefits–
- A monthly stipend of S$3,200
- Cover all tuition fees at NTU and other compulsory fees
- A travel grant of S$12,000 to help cover the expenses associated with a six-month research residency at MIT (travel grant covers airfare, MIT housing, MIT visiting student fee and health insurance)
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The Fellowships are open to students of all nationalities who gain admission to any PhD programme at the University where research interest fits within one or more of projects currently being carried out in the following SMART Interdisciplinary Research Groups (IRGs)-
- BioSystems and Micromechanics (BioSyM)
- Centre for Environmental Sensing and Modeling (CENSAM)
- Future Urban Mobility (FM)
- Infectious Diseases (ID)
- Low Energy Electronic Systems (LEES)
- The student must have graduates with an undergraduate degree at the level of a first class or second uppers (equivalent).
