The Alive and Thrive Call Research Organizations to partner for Opinion Leader Research on Infant and Young Child Feeding in the following ASEAN countries – Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand, Timor Leste and VietNam.
The selected researchers/research organizations will recruit targeted participants, develop and test discussion guides and recording formats, conduct individual interviews and group discussions in multiple locations, and provide a written analysis of each interview and group discussion.
Objectives of the Research are to
- Identify barriers to political and public support for IYCF, particularly breastfeeding.
- Identify some possible solutions to these barriers.
- Explore motivations in favor of supporting IYCF, particularly breastfeeding.
- Recognize channels of communication and points of engagement with opinion leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants with presence in all or almost all of the six countries are also considered but agencies with national scope are highly encouraged.
- Applicants must have solid background/knowledge in public health, maternal and child health, nutrition especially IYCF and understand nutrition, particularly breastfeeding situation of countries (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia and Timor Leste).
- Applicants must have solid experience in conducting studies and evaluations in this area of policy.
- Applicants must have demonstrated ability to reach and connect with policy makers.
The proposing party should submit the following documents
- Description of methodology and proposed approach for the opinion leader research.
- Submit proofs on the background/knowledge and experiences as mentioned in the eligibility criteria.
- The quotes – made in US Dollars.
- Three references including contact information for each.
- Email address where confirmation of receipt of the submission can be sent.
