The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs section of the U.S. Embassy-Tbilisi is seeking applications for the renovation of a Domestic Violence Shelter in Kakheti region with a motive of providing safe environment to the victims of domestic violence and their children through facility and curtilage.
The purpose of the grant is to continue the renovation of the structure which was undertaken by the State Fund for the Protection and Assistance of Victims.
The domestic violence facility is a short term residential center that can house up to five families for a period of up to 90 days.
Award Information
The amount of the award will be $155,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- International and Georgian non-profit, non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a demonstrated expertise in building construction/renovation; knowledge of Georgia building and safety codes.
