The Alborada Trust and University of Cambridge is offering funding opportunity for Research Fund program. The objective of this program is to provide research (and research management) training and mentorship to Sub-Sahara African postdoctoral fellows from disciplines including engineering, the social sciences and humanities.
This Programme currently works in partnership with African universities and research institutes in Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. Current initiatives of the CiA Programme include innovative research capacity building and knowledge-exchange programmes such as MUII (Makerere University-UVRI Infection and Immunity Research Training Programme) and THRiVE (Training Health Researchers into Vocational Excellence in East Africa), both sponsored by the Wellcome Trust.
Eligibility-
- The Cambridge in Africa Programme is inviting applications from principal investigators in the University of Cambridge to apply jointly with a partner in a Sub-Saharan African university or research institution, for grants from the Cambridge-Africa Alborada Research Fund.
- Researchers from Sub-Sahara African institutions and the University of Cambridge, across all disciplines are eligible to apply.
