UNDP is looking for a suitable agency to develop a comprehensive protection package of social, economic and legal protection to the marginalized groups and demonstrate it in its project districts in the states of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh from October 2011 to December 2012.
Project Districts
Bihar: Araria, Lakhisarai, Katihar, Purba Champaran, Sitamarhi
Chhattisgarh: Durg, Korba, Raipur
Orissa: Angul, Bolangir, Bhadrak, Ganjam, KBaleswar, Khordha
Rajasthan: Ajmer, Alwar, Barmer, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur
UP: Banda, Deoria, Etawah, Mau, Moradabad
The envisaged scope of work would be:
- Social Protection
- Legal Protection
- Social inclusion/strengthening civil society
- Knowledge Management
Eligibility
The agency should have
- Adequate office and institutional infrastructure at headquarters in India or proposed state of intervention (preferable)
- Core professional expertise with relevant competence for the proposed project
- Legal registration with regular audited accounts for the last three years
- Five years of experience at implementing HIV and/or development initiatives in India
- Good linkages with development partners, government and civil society organisations demonstrated expertise on/(Indian) experience of:
- Working with marginalised communities and their networks
- Providing policy support and advocacy with government and civil society
- Implementing national policies at the state and district levels
- Setting up/facilitation of redressal mechanisms for human rights violations
- Providing quality trainings on a wide range of issues related to HIV
- Developing Community Mobilization strategies and tools
- Developing communication strategies, tools and products
- Developing advocacy strategies, tools and products
- Process documentation
- Monitoring & evaluation
