Proposals are invited for support to areas affected by the influx of Syrian in Lebanon offered under Europe Aid. The mission of this program is to alleviate the medium and longer term needs of both refugees from Syria and host communities in areas in Lebanon with high refugee concentrations.
Priorities-
- Sustainable interventions that will improve the living conditions and/or livelihood opportunities for refugees from Syria and Lebanese host communities in areas affected by the influx of refugees from Syria
- Interventions that improve the welfare and capacity of children, youth and other vulnerable groups among refugees and host communities in areas affected by the influx of refugees from Syria
- Interventions that mitigate tensions between and among refugee and host populations; that prevent local conflicts from escalating by promoting conflict-sensitive solutions; and that work against the militarization/radicalization of youth in particular
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 2,750,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 12 months nor exceed 24 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be specific types of organisations such as: non-governmental organisations, public sector operators, local authorities, international (inter-governmental) organisations as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules to the EC Financial Regulation. However, in case of a multi-beneficiary grant, an International Organisation cannot be the applicant
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or of a country that is a beneficiary of Regulation (EC) No 1638/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 2006 laying down general provisions establishing a European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI), a country that is a beneficiary of an Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance set up by Council Regulation (EC) No 1085/2006 of 17 July 2006 establishing an Instrument for Pre- Accession Assistance (IPA) or a Member State of the EEA. This obligation does not apply to international organization
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary. Non-Lebanese applicants are encouraged to co-apply with Lebanese entities.
