European Union through its European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) is seeking applications from organizations in order to help civil society become an effective force for political reform and defence of human rights in the Republic of Moldova.
EIDHR is aiming to enhance and monitor respect and protection of human rights and fight against discrimination of the most vulnerable groups in the Republic of Moldova.
Objectives
- Support Gender Equality and Women’s Rights
- Support and Monitor the Rights of Persons in Psychiatric Institutions
- Support Protection of Persons belonging to Ethnic Minorities
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposal must fall between € 300,000.00 and € 350,000.00 .
Location
All actions must take place in the Republic of Moldova.
Duration
The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making and
- be a specific type of organisation such as:
- civil society organisations, including non-governmental non-profit organisations and independent political foundations, community-based organisations and private-sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organisations and networks thereof at local, national, regional and international level or
- public-sector non-profit-agencies, institutions and organisations and networks at local, national, regional and international level;
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or in the Republic of Moldova and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- The applicant must act with its co-applicant which must satisfy all the eligibility criteria as that of the applicant’s.
- The applicant and its co-applicant(s) may act with affiliated entity (ies) which include:
- Entities directly or indirectly controlled by the beneficiary (daughter companies or first-tier subsidiaries). They may also be entities controlled by an entity controlled by the beneficiary (granddaughter companies or second-tier subsidiaries) and the same applies to further tiers of control;
- Entities directly or indirectly controlling the beneficiary (parent companies). Likewise, they may be entities controlling an entity controlling the beneficiary;
- Entities under the same direct or indirect control as the beneficiary (sister companies).
