The Centre of African Studies of the University of London UK is inviting applications from Nigerian academics to take part in a scheme of collaborative research funded by the Leventis Foundation.
The Leventis Research Co-operation Programme is designed to assist younger scholars develop their research interests in collaboration with their counterparts in London. Applicants can have to spend three months as visitors of the Centre of African Studies in order to pursue their research in libraries and archives and to participate in the intellectual life of the Centre.
SOAS, University of London is the higher education institution in Europe specializing in the study of Asia, Africa and the near Middle East. SOAS is a remarkable institution with combining language scholarship, disciplinary expertise and regional focus; it has the largest concentration in Europe of academic staff concerned with Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications will only be accepted from Nigerian academics to take part in a scheme of collaborative research.
- The scheme might be particularly appropriate for scholars working up a PhD thesis into publishable form.
