The United States Education Foundation in Pakistan (USFEP) invites applications for The 2012 Hubert H. Humphrey Program offering opportunity to mid-career professionals from Pakistan to pursue 10-12 month graduate level non-degree fellowship in the US. The program is aimed at improving the people to people interaction between the two countries. The scholars will get an opportunity to live, and get on-hand experience about the in U.S. life, society, and culture. The scholars are expected to share information about Pakistani life and culture with their colleagues and community groups in the U.S. On returning to Pakistan, Humphrey grantees are expected to make a significant contribution to Pakistan’s development and to share their U.S. experiences with colleagues and community groups in Pakistan.
Grant Benefits
The grants covered under this fellowship program include airfare, tuition, a living stipend and health insurance. The selected candidates will also get help in visa application process.
Eligibility
The candidates are expected to be committed to serving Pakistan. They must be Pakistani citizens having at least five years of work/professional experience with considerable progress in their career throughout that period. They must also have a master’s degree and guarantee of re-employment after their return to Pakistan. The candidates must have an iBT TOEFL score of 90 or higher. TOEFL must be taken prior to submission of application.
University teachers or researchers with no management experience are not eligible to apply.
