Acumen fund provides New leader fellows programme for Pakistan to meet the challenges like corruption, illiteracy, natural disasters, and an energy crisis just to name a few – and despite billions of dollars in foreign aid each year, these problems still manage to persist. The next phase of development in Pakistan must take a drastically different direction, a direction guided by a new generation of Pakistani leaders who are willing to challenge broken systems, who have the abilities to develop innovative solutions, who possess an unwavering moral compass, and who can see opportunity where others see only challenges. We designed the Pakistan Fellows Program to identify, train, and connect this next generation of leaders for Pakistan and for the world. We are now accepting applications for the inaugural class of Pakistan Fellows.
The Pakistan Fellows Program is a one-year leadership development program for emerging leaders who are dedicated to addressing Pakistan’s most pressing social problems. The program will bring together 20 diverse individuals who are each leading a project that is creating positive social change in Pakistan. Projects can be from any sector, can be structured as non-profit or for-profit, and can be either independent initiatives or initiatives within other public or private organizations or the government. Fellows will have the opportunity to develop their own leadership capabilities, enhance their social change projects, and join a global community of changemakers.
Eligibility & Criteria–
- Entrepreneurs and leaders within organizations (for-profit, non-profit, and government) with a compelling social change project that has been operating for the last 2-3 years
- Individuals who plan to continue developing their initiative for the duration of the program
- Individuals with a deep passion and commitment to Pakistan
- Individuals with a proven track record of leadership and management responsibilities
- Individuals with unrelenting perseverance, personal integrity and critical thinking skills
