Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan is inviting Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development to submit grant applications. The major objective of the grant program is to support operations aiming at promoting an inclusive and empowered society in partner countries in order to benefit populations out of reach of mainstream services and resources and excluded from policy making processes; strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in partner countries, with a view to facilitating their participation in defining and implementing poverty reduction and sustainable development strategies; and facilitate interaction between State and non-State actors in different contexts.
NSAs from Pakistan are encouraged to lead the actions as main applicants, in order to implement effective local strategies.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legal persons in non-profit making organizations.
- Applicants must be non-state actors (NSA) and be established in a Member State of the European Union or Pakistan.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Pakistani NSAs may act individually or with co-applicants, either Pakistani NSA/LA and/or European NSA/LA co-applicants.
- Proposals must clearly demonstrate how the capacity building aspect will be part of the action.
