Programme Partnership Agreements (PPAs) are one of the DFID’s major support mechanisms to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). These are basically strategic level agreements based around mutually agreed outcomes as well as individual performance frameworks against which the organizations report on an annual.
In a critical manner, PPAs, subject to performance, offer CSOs with funding for three years. This enables them to plan and delivers programmes in a better manner even in difficult as well as higher risk environments.
The objective of the PPA is to reach CSOs along with leaders in their field throughout the globe who can add value to DFID’s portfolio, support realization of its objectives, achieve significant results in terms of poverty reduction and offer good Value for Money (VfM) demonstrated through a competitive selection process.
PPAs contribute to the delivery of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by playing a significant role in supporting citizens to improve their lives, delivering services to specific groups of poor people, and holding governments and others to account. Programme Partnership Arrangements launched a new call for Programme Partnership Arrangements (PPAs) in August 2010.
