- the concept note should be saved and sent in Word format (.doc) format only and
- the sections 1 to 4 of the concept note must not exceed a total of six A4-size pages
Before starting to write the application, make sure you have asked yourself the question:
“Is my project ready? If yes, under which theme, topic or issue?”
GPAF Impact Window grants are aimed at reducing poverty and all issues to be addressed should be directly relevant to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). Following is the list of MDGs:
- Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Achieve universal primary education
- Promote gender equality and empower women
- Reduce child mortality
- Improve maternal health
- Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Ensure environmental sustainability
- Develop a global partnership for development
Remember that “the GPAF has a strong focus on service delivery but complementary elements, such as capacity building, empowerment or advocacy (particularly local level advocacy), can be included where they help to achieve or sustain the service. All projects need to mainstream gender equality, particularly demonstrating how they will impact positively on the situation of women and girls (and/or other groups who are particularly excluded in the local context).”
