Non-government organizations (NGOs) in Jordan, European Union Member States and International Organizations are invited to submit project proposals for Promoting Local Economic Development in Jordan (PLEDJ) – Support to Small-scale Food Processing Industries. The major objective of the project is to contribute to the implementation of the local economic development plans for the Governorates of Ajloun and Tafileh, more particularly to support the development of local agriculture.
Request can be made for grant size €900,000 to €975,000 which can be 95%-100% of the total eligible cost of the action. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 20 months nor exceed 24 months.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legal persons in non-profit-making organization.
- Applying organization must be Jordanian or European Non-government organization (NGO) or International Organization as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules of the EC Financial Regulation.
- Jordanian NGO must be constituted in accordance with the legislation in force in Jordan for at least two years at the time of the submission of an application and registered with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Social Affairs or Ministry of Industry.
- NGO from a member state of the European Union must be registered for at least three years at the time of the submission of the application.
- Applicants must be established in a Member State of the European Union or in Jordan, except for the international organization.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Proposed actions must take place in the Governorates of Tafileh and Ajloun.
