The ARC Foundation for Cancer Research has launched a call for nominations for the 44th ARC Foundation Léopold Griffuel Awards. The prize is awarded by the Board of Directors of the ARC French Foundation for cancer research after evaluation by an international scientific committee. The official award ceremony will take place in Paris, France. The award winner must be present at the ceremony.
There are two prizes of €150,000 each, the ARC Foundation rewards researchers whose work has led to a major breakthrough in fundamental or applied research in oncology:
- Basic Research Award;
- Translational and Clinical Research Award.
Introduced in 1970, the ARC Foundation Léopold Griffuel Award is one of the most prestigious international prizes dedicated exclusively to cancer research. The ARC Foundation honors scientists and physicians who have made major contributions in the understanding, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancers.
Eligibility Information
- Researchers can relate to all areas of cancer control, from basic to clinical research through translational research, epidemiology, humanities and social sciences.
- Candidates must still be involved in research. If the application is filed on behalf of a single researcher, s/he must be under 65 in the nomination year.
Application Process
The application file must be sent by both, e-mail and postal mail. The original signed application file should be sent by special delivery no later than the deadline.
