The Media in Conflicts Seminar (MICS) during the annual event held since 2009 offers exceptional young journalists an opportunity to develop skills that can equip them in dealing with the challenges of media in conflicts, create a priceless professional network and experience true coverage at the world’s most covered conflict zone.
The 5-day seminar to be held in English at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya (10 Minutes from Tel Aviv) during the week of September 4th-8th, 2011, will include: intriguing lectures with front-row specialists in various fields of media and conflicts; hands-on workshops; career guidance and strategic tours.
The MICS is an academic and professional journalist seminar that exposes future media leaders to the fascinating world of conflict-journalism.
The seminar will include:
– Lectures by experts in the field of conflict journalism
– Strategic tours around Israel and the conflict areas
– Hands-on workshops
– The participants stay in Israel is fully funded including accommodation in Israel during the seminar, transportation and meals. However, participants are asked to pay for their own flight accommodations.
This year, for the first time, the participants of MICS 2011 will be granted the privilege of taking part in the renowned annual ICT Seminar, one of the most important events in the world in the field of research of Terrorism and Counter Terrorism, taking place at the IDC.
MICS 2011 is a subsidized seminar. The participants stay in Israel is fully funded including accommodation in Israel during the seminar, transportation and meals. However, participants are asked to pay for their own flight accommodations.
