Web technologies have been a great driving force behind all the social changes taking place around the globe and social networks are playing a major role in effectively organizing the practices and building movements that lead to social change. Women especially the young ones are increasingly engaging in these conversations from a feminist perspective, and much more needs to be done so that more and more females from the society could take part in bringing about the desired social changes.
The Young Feminist Wire has been playing its part and these days running a four online e-learning sessions which explore:
- concepts of women’s movements and movement building
- characteristics of women’s movements
- how women’s movements affect change with examples from different regions
- the concept and practice of leadership in the context of movement building
- two key trends impacting women’s movements around the world: the rise of religious fundamentalisms; and resource mobilization for women’s organizing
In this context, they are now seeking registrations for a NEW e-learning session of the Interrogating Movements series on Resource Mobilization!
