Humanity in Action is accepting fellowship applications from university students and recent graduates from universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina for Fellowship Program 2014. The Fellowship Program aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and highlight different models of action to remedy injustice.
The fellowship program runs from May 31 – June 29, 2014. Fellows from Bosnia and Herzegovina are expected to participate in the BiH Senior Fellows Association once the Humanity in Action Fellowship programs end—and to sustain their engagement in the issues addressed during the fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Bosnian-and-Herzegovinian university students (second semester of studies at least) or a recent graduate (no earlier than 2012)especially those committed to the promotion of human and minority rights, tolerance and intercultural understanding are eligible to apply.
- Applicant must be proficient in English and BHS.
- Applicants must have knowledge about ongoing social, political and transitional trends in the country (and issues related to European Union accession); interest in human and minority rights and willingness to start or continue active civic participation by taking part in Humanity in Action activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Applicants must possess strong communication skills.
- Mature, proactive, self-reliant, experienced in grassroots activism and comfortable in intensive group activity and interaction from all majors and academic disciplines are eligible to apply.
Applicant must answer all five answers in the application and attach curriculum vitae, personal statement and action project proposal along with the application.
