Deadline: 18 January 2016
Applications are open for the 2016 Kinship Conservation Fellows Program that trains experienced conservationists in the use of market-based principles to address environmental challenges.
The program’s ultimate aim is to see large-scale conservation outcomes related to increased health of environmental systems and reduced environmental threats.
The program will be held on the campus of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington from June 26 through July 27, 2016 and there will be 18 participants in a cohort.
Program Strategies
- Capacity building: It allows for greater implementation of market-based approaches.
- Thought leadership: It promotes greater influence within the larger conservation community by showcasing the work of Fellows, sharing research and evaluation findings, and lessons learned through the program.
- Community: It serves to accelerate all of the changes. Fellows join a global community where, through interactive platforms and publications, they connect with past cohorts and conservation practitioners to accelerate change and maximize conservation impact.
