The goal and the objectives of your project are required to be written. A goal is a long-term aim, for example, the goal of this fund is helping the migrants to overcome their financial challenges. The objectives are specific targets that could be achieved in one project, and there could be multiple objectives that could be achieved at the end of each stage or each project. You may choose one or two from these suggested objectives by the MDF fund:
- Improvement of knowledge about migrant remittances;
- Support to reforms of the regulatory framework that governs money transfer conditions;
- Development of innovative financial products;
- Support to productive investment in migrants’ countries of origin;
- Support to local development in migrants’ countries of origin.
Activities are the detail actions of your solution and plan, and you need to convince the reviewers that the solutions are innovative, and will solve the problem with higher-efficiencies. The most important thing is that the activities section has to be closely correlated to the objectives. It will be supportive and competitive if the activities include the engagements of the community and other organizations in your project. For example, if your project supports migrants, you should demonstrate how the banking network will help the migrants’ finance and what the migrants need to cooperate in the activities, and how other organizations will be involved in the process. The MDF fund works to support community development and to provide financing for innovative projects in Africa.
You may apply those innovative banking activities that have been set up successfully in other countries or continents which will increase the qualities of your project and the funding possibilities. A list may be used in this section to show your work plan to save space (but not chart since chart is not loadable to the online application form), and time schedules are required to be indicated by the MDF for the activity section.
