The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) invites Civil Society Organizations in Africa to apply for small grant opportunity. This call seeks to provide funding support to African Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), in particular NGOs at national, local and/or community level, working in the area of anti-corruption, whose projects aim at working with the private sector to sensitize Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) on UNCAC and its implementation.
Grant funding under this Call for Proposals shall be provided under the following category: Raising awareness, training and lobbying with SMEs to Work on the implementation of the UNCAC.
Proposals with budgets of up to USD 5,000 will be considered for award..
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must
- be an African non-profit making organization or NGO registered under the relevant Laws of the country where it is registered
- have been registered not less than two (2) years
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, i.e. not acting as an intermediary
- demonstrate prior experience of at least three years implementing activities in the area of conducting monitoring, legal analysis, report drafting, working with the private sector, advocacy, and the organization’s potential to make useful contributions to the review process and follow up activities
- Proposed project must be new interventions, i.e. not already existing, that would not be able to take place without the funding secured through the Grants award.
- All activities financed by this Grants program must be implemented by 31 October 2015.
- An applicant may submit only one proposal per category under this Call for Proposals.
- The complete application form and budget must be submitted in Word and Excel or PDF.
- Applications must be submitted by email marked Application for UNODC Small Grants Scheme in the subject.

- Registration certificate
- Financial statement for the past year (or any other official supporting documentation showing annual income for the last one year)
- CV of the person to implement the project
