The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is inviting applications from eligible entities to implement the Sanitation Service Delivery (SSD) Program. The program intends to build on recent USAID support to the West Africa WASH (sector and complement USAID’s ongoing works on broader health issues.
The sanitation service delivery program will focus on private sector-led sanitation service delivery models in urban and peri-urban areas in western Africa region.
Components:
- Increase use of improved sanitation Component
- Increase use of safe disposal and reuse of fecal waste. Component
- Disseminate learning on market-based approaches
The Sanitary Service Delivery will cultivate the private sector in order to increase use of improved sanitation and safe disposal and reuse of fecal waste at scale; and disseminate learning on market-based approaches to provision of sanitation services throughout West Africa.
Eligibility Criteria:
- There is no restriction in the type of entities. Any non-profit or for-profit making organization in West Africa and the United States (with project area in West Africa) are eligible to apply for the grant.
