THET is inviting applicants for large Paired Institutional Partnership grants under the health partnership scheme. The Health Partnership Scheme is the UK’s chief health partnership programme. Its aim is to support development of health services in poor countries.
Large PIP grants are available to single or multiple partnerships between UK institutions and single or multiple low-income country institutions. Projects should be single, time-bound projects where clear outcomes can be achieved within the time frame proposed and within the budget proposed.
Grant size: between £30,000 and £100,000 per annum Number of funding rounds: 1
Eligibility–
The core requirements for Paired Institutional Partnership grants are:
- Grant recipients are eligible institutions
- Applications must be made by established Partnerships (Link’s)
- Grants are for single, time-bound projects that are deliverable within the budget and time frame proposed and agreed with THET
- Grants will be awarded for projects operating within countries listed in the Eligible Countries section of the Grant Overview. Exceptionally, applications may be considered for projects operating in other low-income countries.
PIP Volunteer Bursaries
Applicants for a Large PIP grant may also apply for a PIP Volunteer Bursary of up to £15,000 for 12 months. The grants are for sending a member of the UK team to the partner for a minimum of six months, where that volunteer’s long-term presence will help maximize the project’s impact. Large PIP projects must not be reliant on the award of a PIP Volunteer Bursary
Workshops
THET will be running five workshops across the country throughout March, to support this application process. These workshops will give specific advice and guidance about the application process, including the reporting requirements and expectations for grantees.
