The American Lung Association and the AAAAI Foundation are organizing a joint Allergic Respiratory Diseases Research Award to support research on advancing the understanding of allergic respiratory disease.
The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) is a professional organization with more than 6,800 members in the United States, Canada and 72 other countries. AAAAI is dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge and practice of allergy, asthma and immunology for optimal patient care.
Award Information
The Allergic Respiratory Diseases Research Award is for $75,000 per year.
Eligibility Criteria
- At the time of application, the applicant must hold a doctoral degree, have a primary faculty appointment in an allergy/immunology division/section of an academic institution.
- Applicants must be independent, self-directed researchers for whom their institution must provide space and other resources customary for independent investigators.
- At the time of application, candidates must be United States citizens or foreign nationals holding permanent resident, exchange visitor, temporary worker in a speciality occupation (H-1B) etc.
- At the time of application and throughout the award, an applicant must be employed by a U.S. institution.
