The European Union through its Expansion and improvement of Physical Rehabilitation Services Program in Afghanistan is accepting proposals in order to support the Government of Afghanistan towards the improvement of delivery of public health services.
Focus Areas
- Provision of quality, long term training according to a nationally recognised curriculum and focus on underserved areas with the aim to move toward a more balanced availability of services for Afghan males and females;
- Involvement of most relevant partners, including the Department of Rehabilitation and Disability of the Ministry of Public Health, Wazir Akbar Khan Orthopaedic Workshop, etc
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposal must fall between EUR 1 000 000 and EUR 2 000 000.
Location
All actions must take place in Afghanistan.
Duration
The duration of an action will be 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making and
- be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, international organisation as defined by Article 43 of the Rules ofapplication of the EU Financial Regulation3.
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or an eligible nation as per articles 8 and 9 of Regulation (EU) No 236/2014.
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the coapplicant(s)and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- The applicant must act with its co-applicant which must satisfy the eligibility criteria as applicable to the applicant himself.
- The applicant and its co-applicant may act with affiliated entities which include:
- Entities directly or indirectly controlled by the beneficiary (daughter companies or first-tier subsidiaries). They may also be entities controlled by an entity controlled by the beneficiary (granddaughter companies or second-tier subsidiaries) and the same applies to further tiers of control;
- Entities directly or indirectly controlling the beneficiary (parent companies). Likewise, they may be entities controlling an entity controlling the beneficiary;
- Entities under the same direct or indirect control as the beneficiary (sister companies).
How to Apply
- Interested applicants have to submit all the documents together(Concept Note and Full Application Form)
- In the first instance, only the Concept Notes will be evaluated. Thereafter, for the applicants who have been pre-selected, the full proposal will be evaluated.
- Applicants, co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies)must firstly register them in Europe Aid online data base PADOR.
