Applications are invited from the qualified students for the post of Deputy Executive Coordinator at UN Volunteers(UNV). Job location is Bonn, Germany. Fluency and a high level of drafting and presentational skills in English is essential. Additional languages, especially UN working languages will be an asset.
Qualifications and Experience :
- degree in development-related discipline, economics, public/business administration
- At least 15 years substantive and progressively responsible experience in development programming in both field and headquarters setting, in an international organization; understanding of the role of civil society and volunteer organizations in socio-economic development, humanitarian assistance, human rights and advocacy is essential.
- Able to articulate a compelling vision for the role of volunteers and volunteerism in peace and development;
- Able to demonstrate ‘best practice’ applications in programme and policy management, as well as technology, finance and people management as they apply to the UNDP/UNV organizational environment within the overall context of the United Nations System.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency and a high level of drafting and presentational skills in English.
