The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Analyst, Data Management and Reporting based in London, UK.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Analyst, Data Management and Reporting will perform the following functions-
- Assess daily Treasury trading limit breaches in compliance with Treasury Risk Management Guidelines (TRMG); seek satisfactory justification for breaches and ensure these are accurately reported in a timely manner to relevant authority (MD Risk / VPs) as per TRMG policy.
- Contribute to substantial periodic risk management reports to the Board of Directors including The Annual Report and Quarterly Risk Report by providing analysis and commentary on the Bank’s investment operations and preparing charts on the Treasury section.
- Develop and maintain complex data warehouse reports providing operational information required for management reporting.
- In collaboration with Finance and Banking, undertake monthly portfolio reconciliation of the main risk data to ensure its accuracy and completeness for management reporting.
- Conduct investigations of complex data integrity issues which require a detailed knowledge of the Bank’s systems and interdependencies.
- Provide technical and business support to around 2,000 Project Monitoring Module (PMM) business users. Take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of PMM Mailbox, providing assistance to questions related to the monitoring of the Bank’s investment operations.
- Test and sign off new system enhancements/fixes, including defining and running user acceptance testing through co-operation with IT.
- Propagate continuous improvement of current procedures and present recommendations for improvement
- Provide first level advice to colleagues across EBRD regarding the risk and compliance policies of the Bank, and more importantly data management and reporting issues
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related subject and/or equivalent experience;
- Ability to handle large data sets and draw conclusion based on data analysis;
- Understanding of data management and data governance principles;
- Understanding of the role of risk/financial data reporting in a financial organization;
- Basic understanding of banking and treasury products;
- Proven experience in data management, analysis or reporting, preferably acquired within a credit or risk management environment of a financial institution;
- Relevant experience in reporting systems with an ability to relate/translate business needs to IT/data specifications. Experience in Cognos or defining and running user acceptance testing would be an advantage;
- Ability to understand and interpret legal and policy documentation, understand how this translates into fundamental risk data concepts and quickly identify information critical to the maintenance of risk data;
- Ability to tackle problems in a logical way, with good organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the goal of attaining the highest possible accuracy and quality within their work;
- Excellent written and spoken English; other languages a plus.
