Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Deputy Team-Leader will perform the following functions-
- Provide technical and managerial support to the Team Leader in the design and delivery of HARP, ensuring full compliance with DFID’s requirements.
- Responsible for effective programme implementation, with the consideration of VfM – Value for Money – aspects, across the project and interventions.
- Focus on Fund Management of the HARP facility, including the design and supervision of the call for proposals process (grants).
- Support the programme’s relationship management with multiple stakeholders, including grantees (UN Organizations, international or national NGOs, and civil society organizations), government institutions, and other donors and donor programmes.
- Support effective communication and working partnerships within and between the HARP team and its implementing partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- An advanced university degree (or equivalent) in the fields of Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business administration or other relevant.
- 10+ years’ experience managing large-scale grant funds as part of donor-funded programmes related to humanitarian assistance or capacity-building of civil society organizations (CSOs).
- Experience managing operational teams to deliver results as part of facility-type donor-funded projects in challenging and fast-changing contexts.
- A track record in grant fund design and management, including designing and managing calls for proposals, ensuring Value for Money (VFM).
- Experience of managing direct-invitation and open-competition grants application processes, including innovation and technology to manage/track grants, equality, and access to all.
- Experience of working in Myanmar and/or elsewhere in South East Asia.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results on donor-funded programmes.
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
