Save the Children is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Field Manager in Croatia. The duration for the post is of 3 months,
The Field Manager will manage the Save the Children operations in the transit refugee camp of Slavonski Brod, Eastern Croatia.
Save the Children works to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Field Manager will perform the following functions-
- Lead on all aspects of managing activities including budget development and management, agency coordination and representation, security, logistics and management of multiple teams.
- As per the rapid changing environment of the programme and context, the Field Manager may be requested to have new responsibilities as per the needs.
- Building capacity at field level, and in the effective scale up and management of Save the Children emergency programmes to increase impact and enable positive change for children.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Field level representation with key stakeholders and co-ordination with other NGOs/UN.
- Budget management experience.
- Demonstrable experience of Monitoring and Evaluation and beneficiary accountability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong influencing skills and experience in advocacy.
- Education to MSc/MA/MEng level in a relevant subject or equivalent field experience.
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- Previous experience of project management, including multi sector programmes.
- Political and cultural sensitivity with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy.
- A high level of written and spoken English.
- Capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances.
- Speaking Arabic or Farsi would be an asset.
