The World Education is seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance and Grants Manager based in Boston, USA.
The Finance and Grants Manager will liaise with HQ and Field based staff to assist in managing a diverse portfolio of projects with a large sub grant component.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Finance and Grants Manager will perform the following functions-
- In collaboration with HQ and field finance and grants staff, develop and update systems and tools for finance and grants management including manuals, assessment tools, grant awards and contracts.
- Monitor project budgets and variance reports.
- Ensure consistent implementation of Accounting and WEI financial policies/standards, as well as USAID rules and regulations.
- Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of contracts, cooperative agreements, terms and conditions, and requirements.
- Support new business development activities including proposal design, costing out proposal budgets and negotiating terms of collaboration with project partners.
- Travel to field offices for start-up, close-out, trainings, financial reviews of projects, and sub award management.
- Act as a resource person to Headquarter and Field Staff regarding financial and grant management.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree in a finance, business, international development, or related field required, Masters’ degree a plus.
- Minimum of four years’ experience in the finance and/or grants components of international development projects.
- Strong budget management skills, experience with subcontracting /sub granting, and working on budgets ranging from $25K to $30M.
- Knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations (2 CFR 200, ADS, and USAID Standard Provisions) and experience with other donor regulations.
- Flexible, takes initiative , detail oriented and works well in team environment.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Willing and able to travel to Africa at least twice a year.
- Language proficiency in French and or Portuguese is a plus.
