Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Chief, General Services in Pristina, Kosovo.
OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Chief, General Services performs the following functions-
- Plans, develops, reviews and approves or proposes strategies and concepts related to assets management, engineering and logistics support requirements, taking into account the varying needs of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo (OMIK).
- Reviews existing policies for OSCE administrative procedures and, when needed, for the specific requirements of OMiK.
- Co-ordinates all logistical support issues with the relevant departments of the Mission.
- Co-ordinates all aspects of work performed by the Supply and Material Control Section, Transport Management Section, Buildings Management Services Section and Warehouse and Inventory Section.
- Co-operates with counterparts of other international organizations at the duty station and represents the Mission in inter-agency and other meetings, as required.
- Manages the staffing table and supervises 49 staff of the General Services Division.
- Performs related duties as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- University education in logistics, business/public administration, engineering or related field or proven experience in any discipline of logistics management and support, such as procurement, mission management, inventory or warehouse management and support.
- Advanced education/certified training course in a relevant field desirable.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience including at least 3 years at the management level relevant to the actual position.
- Excellent physical condition.
- Possession of a valid automobile driving license and ability to drive using manual transmission.
- Ability to cope with physical hardship and willingness to work extra hours and in an environment with limited infrastructure.
