International Medical Corps (IMC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Deputy Medical Coordinator in Turkey.
The Deputy Medical Coordinator will work closely with Emergency Medical Coordinator, Technical Advisors in the region and HQ and Health Managers for developing technical resource documents.
IMC’s mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Deputy Medical Coordinator will perform the following functions-
- Lead development/adoption of treatment guidelines for communicable and non-communicable diseases, surgical protocols and trauma.
- Work with partners to implement IMNCI supported PHCs.
- Work with subsectors and program managers to assess infection control in facilities, develop an integrated response between health and WASH to complement activities.
- Identify and develop IEC material and treatment charts for various morbidities and clinical services and print to be distributed to the health facilities in line with provided guidelines.
- Develop and harmonize standards in clinics.
- Identify new areas of expansion for IMC such as EPI and Nutrition, work with partners to develop staff capacity and identify needs for implementation.
- Work with program staff for developing strategy and implementation of EPI.
- Support Medical Coordinator and Health Managers in program implementation.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Medical doctor or nurse with Masters in Public Health or relevant field.
- At least 5 years professional experience in implementing health related projects preferably with surgical/orthopedic/trauma background.
- At least 5 years of experience working with INGOs in humanitarian or development contexts; previous emergency response, conflict/post-conflict experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and to track performance against program indicators.
- Skills and knowledge in program sustainability and capacity building, and project monitoring and evaluation (both quantitative and qualitative methods).
- Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic preferred.
- Skills in Microsoft Office.
