The UN Women is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of External Relations and Advocacy Analyst based in New York, USA.

Key Job Responsibilities
The External Relations and Advocacy Analyst will perform the following functions-
- Contributes to the development of UN Trust Fund’s advocacy, partnerships and resource mobilization promotional strategies;
- Provides advocacy support to the Chief of the Fund and Resource Mobilization Specialist with an aim to position UNTF as the unique global multilateral Fund by highlighting its practices and results;
- Oversee all activities related to conceptualizing, design and production of all UNTF communications and advocacy materials and online presence.
- Implementation of UNTF’s Communications Strategy;
- Knowledge and information sharing about UNTF’s work from the pool of global knowledge collated from the monitoring and evaluation of the UNTF’s grantees projects and results in order to build new partnerships and mobilize resources;
- Planning and implementation of internal and external communications and outreach activities;
- Conceptualizing and organizing UNTF advocacy and other promotional activities and events;
- Supporting UN Trust Fund’s focal points in UN Women field offices in their activities as related and relevant to raising awareness about the UNTF work and resource mobilization.
- Information and knowledge sharing with UNTF donors, civil society and members of the larger global community working to prevent and end violence against women and girls;
- Creating effective and meaningful partnerships with donors, UN agencies, UNTF grantees and civil society and international and national groups leading to provision of support to the UNTF in its advocacy and resource mobilization efforts and activities;
- Drafting of speeches, talking points, official statements and other relevant materials as needed and requested.
- Coordination of all multimedia (photo/video/text) projects from inception of an idea to the final product and its distribution;
- Coordination of writing, editing, design and production of all UNTF reports and communications materials including UNTF’s annual reports to the Commission on Status of Women and Human Rights Council, UNTF’s Annual Donor Report and its quarterly newsletter;
- Coordination of the design, development and maintenance of the UNTF web site and intranet space;
- Coordination of the UNTF social media presence and development of online activities with an aim to increase the online visibility of the Fund and a number of its followers.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics or related field;
- Two years of proven relevant experience at the international level in communications and external relations in the field of preventing and ending violence against women and girls in a multilateral or international organization would be an asset;
- Previous experience in building new partnerships for the purpose of resource mobilization will be an advantage;
- Ability to provide top quality advice services on related issues;
- Practical experience with design and layout of documents, print materials, and web content;
- Independent and creative thinking and proficiency in expressing clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form and delivering in a timely manner;
- Excellent working knowledge of computers including software to edit texts and images, specifically: Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop; contact management: Salesforce; and, distribute material electronically via Voyager or Fetch FTP;
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team in an international, multicultural and interdisciplinary environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization;
- Fluency in English (written and oral).
