Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Head of Human Resource and Organization Development in India.
The Head will be responsible for managing all the key Human Resource functions across AKES India.
The mission of AKDN is to improve the welfare and prospects of people in the developing world, particularly in Asia and Africa, without regard to faith, origin or gender.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Head of Human Resource and Organization Development will perform the following functions-
- Attract, recruit, select, hire and retain the best-qualified staff for AKES, I and its schools.
- Provide staffing support for the teaching and non-teaching staff in the various entities of AKES,I primarily for the Sr. Management roles.
- Prepare job descriptions for staff.
- Develop and implement an orientation programme for all new hires.
- Responsible for compensation policy framing and strategy.
- Design the salary scale across the organization.
- Develop and manage staff compensation, benefits and reward system that shall attract and retain the best-qualified employees.
- Keep abreast of market practices and engage in market compensation surveys on a regular basis to ensure that compensation and benefits of AKES,I staff remain competitive.
- Ensure review and implementation of Performance Management System for all employees of AKES, I to ensure continuous improvement of staff performance.
- Conduct annual performance evaluation for each employee along with along with supervision and performance feedback.
- Conduct and review employee engagement surveys to ensure high motivation levels amongst employees- Develop channels of communication and clearly defined procedures for allowing all personnel to voice their suggestions, concerns, opinions and grievances.
- Provide counseling and handle employee grievances as required.
- Develop and implement human resource, policies which allow for an enabling environment to ensure that the employees carry out their responsibilities to the best of their ability.
- Lead the review, implementation and ongoing development of AKES, I’s HR strategy, effective organization and workforce strategy.
- Develop the quality of human relationships necessary to obtain maximum staff performance and a high-level of job satisfaction.
- Provide for a genuine team approach to education, including staff involvement in planning, decision-making and evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- At least a Bachelor’s degree with a diploma in HR; a MBA with specialization in HR (desirable).
- At least 10 years experience in Human Resources, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in the education sector will be preferred.
